Post-Game Talk: GAME 73 - Daffy Duck finally shoots Elmer Fudd - Anaheim 6 BRUINS 2

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I'm not saying Sacco should remain, but of course he's a zombie on the bench. What do you want him to do at this point? That roster is ridiculous. He wants this over as much or more than anyone.
He has been a zombie from day one as interim head coach however. Never one a confident presence, or any emotion whatsoever. He has been satisfied being an assistant coach for a decade since his last failure as head coach for a reason.

Korpisalo looked decent up until that Zacha own goal. He looked pissed after Callahan deflected the puck in his net, but he was deflated after that Zacha own goal. It's going to be hard to win hockey games for any goaltender when the team cannot sustain any offensive pressure, and if you have to worry about your team playing against you.

Vatrano certainly seems to be working into his style as an agitator. Every game I watch of Anaheim he initiates scrums. I cannot imagine he can fight one bit to defend it however, would be interesting to see.
He's not a fighter but a great example of how a change of scenery can sometimes bring out your best.

I guess firing 2 jack adams coaches wasn’t the answer
I agree.

That said, I can sort of understand. They made a gamble on the players over Bruce and that happens sometimes. Sure seems like Monty wanted out, leaving management in a rock and a hard place.

However, every once in a while I see people posting about keeping Sacco. I want ONE legitimate argument for that. Of course be prepared for me to counter with at least three legitimate and much better points on the other side.

Regardless.... don't tell me he's a f***ing local boy. I'm a f***ing local boy. Big f***ing deal.

(If you can't tell, the pro Sacco posts send electrical sparks to my sensitive parts. And not the nice kind of sparks, either. The sizzle and burning smell kind.)

He looks like the one guy that actually gives a shit out there.

Honestly the Bruins may be in the worst situation in the NHL. Their current roster is awful...I would easily trade Chicago/San Jose roster for Bruins straight up. Add in the Bruins have a pitiful prospect pool and its looks quite bad for a loooooong time.

team has obviously cashed it in.
plus the locker room is most likely a disaster.
not good times to be a bruins fan.
i feel for pasta.

it might be time to see what you could get for him in a trade in offseason and maybe bring a solid 2 or 3 guys back for him. thats how low this team is on talent right now.

Cassidy was here for 6 seasons. That's a long time for an NHL coach with one team. Julien was here for 10 seasons, an eternity for NHL coaches. I thought Monty was sacked too soon, but I guess there were a lot of factors I wasn't clear on.

Some posters here want Mike Sullivan to return. He's coached a team with Sidney Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Karlsson and more. Haven't made the playoffs for the last 3 seasons.
