Is there a line that would push ownership to make a GM change? Or are they giving up on the season too?
Sweeney and Neely have spent the past decade swinging for the fences on questionable draft picks and signings while having the safety net of Bergeron, Chara at al. Now they have none of them and no prospect pool to speak of. Does management have the Jacobs around their finger or is it possible that Don's job is at stake?

That was a scaring road trip for me, never mind the team. Hopefully they can just come back next year guns blazing, but this stretch is making that seem like an impossible task.

Can we just forfeit the rest of the season?

Hoping for overtime in Sabres vs pens tomorrow night.

my observations live from the rink

joe sacco is a clueless f***ing dummy

chris kelly coaching the power play is laughable

the roster f***ing blows besides pasta and he looks completely uninterested because of the morons he’s on the ice with

this defensive core is absolute garbage

f*** don sweeney

f*** cam neely

the only positive is the draft pick upside if we get a miracle in the lottery

I've been watching the B's since 1970. Every game without fail.
Saturday night parties at relatives houses, etc we would all be huddled in a room watching a 17" Sylvania black & white and loving every minute of it.
Even when we were dragged to an Easter party at church as 11 year olds we'd sneak into the office and watched the national broadcast of the game.
Throughout all of those years I always thought that they'd rebound, retool, rebuild but do whatever they needed to,
to stay relevant and compete.
THIS team however lacks in each and every category from the top on down.
I can't imagine this turning around significantly for a few years.
I hope that I'm wrong but it feels right.

This tank is pretty hard to watch that's for sure.

I'm liking Mittelstadt less and less with every game. Sure he's fast and skilled and is fine in open ice but he plays soft, constantly loses puck battles and gives the puck away in the O zone constantly. I can see why Buffalo didn't want to pay him and Colorado decided pretty quickly that he was not the 2C they had hoped for. It's hard to judge this team but we look like Buffalo now.

Lysell is nothing.

this defensive core is absolute garbage
It is, but in fairness that wasn't the "defensive core". The D core is injured and I guess went back to Boston and of course Carlo haters are rethinking their life choices. Top pairing tonight was Wotherspoon and Jokiharju ffs. A fringe NHLer and a Buffalo cast off.

This is such a massive tank I found myself wondering when Zacha shot the puck wide (when he had the whole side of the net open with Gibson off the post) did he do that on purpose? Is he in on the tank? I know that's kind of ridiculous to think, but on the other hand, this is bad enough to think it.
