Post-Game Talk: Game 73: Bruins check out of California with zero points - LA Kings 2 BRUINS 1 F

I didn't catch the whole game last night ( sick with the flu) but wasn't the fourth line on the ice for both LA goals ?

On ice for the first goal:
beleskey, acciari, randell, miller, krug

on ice for the second goal:
ferraro, acciari, randell, liles, chara

In today's NHL it's almost impossible to go three games without a single point.

I bet at least 25 of the 30 teams this year has gone at least 3 games without a point

I'm not going to look it up but I'd bet a large popcorn at the House of Jacobs on it

Lou, Snydergaard doing something to his hair?

Please Claude, play Vatrano and Randell on Wednesday instead of Hayes and Connolly.

I have a feeling this may happen.

It's not nice but I also have the feeling that Hayes may start hearing it from the fans, ala Wideman. I want the Bruins move on from him (and, sadly, from Connolly as well), but hope that doesn't happen.

I believe the issue is if they call Vatrano up on non-emergency basis, they need to send someone down. Hayes, connolly, randall, trotman, morrow all would need to pass waivers if they got sent down I believe.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but they can call Vatrano up once the playoffs start without having to send someone down right?

I think that's right.

They could send Hayes down and bring up Vatrano. He would have to clear waivers, though, so Sweeney probably won't do it.

As far as I know the only team in the league this year without 3 regulation losses in a row are the Caps. Or that is what was said on a Kings broadcast not too long ago.

But that was a very hard played game.
You're team deserved more.
They out shot
out hit
won in the dot
The only place they lost was on the scoreboard.
And that was all Quick.
The game was stolen from the Bruins.

I'm back - uneventful flight and back in time for the snow

Sweeney and Neely's plan should be clear now - build a team that can compete with California. If they can achieve that they will do very well in the east as well.

A couple of very good teams in the west will be eliminated in the first round.

(...)

The last time they had 2 (let alone 3) regulation losses in a row was games 68-69 of last season...

PS: Dallas has not had 3 regulation losses in a row this season.

I'm not sure if I follow the line of thinking around here.

Most here seem to agree that the western conference is the stronger conference.

Most would probably agree that the three CA teams we just lost to are better teams than the Bruins and we don't match up against them very well.

And yet so many here seem angry that we lost those three games.

It's like people actually expect this transitional Bruins team to win the east and steamroll the west on the way to Lord Stanley glory.

Of course, I wanted them to grab some points on this road trip, but I find it hard to reach for the pitchfork and start down the road to Castle Sweeney after losing to those three teams.

With the Wings winning, only 3pts from missing the playoffs. Looks like 14-15 all over again...

I'm not to worried at all about the Bruins missing the playoffs this year.
