Pre-Game Talk: Game # 73 Bruins at Ducks 10 PM NESN ESPN+

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

This feels like one of the few games that the Bruins could be competitive in for the rest of the season. If they win I really want to see Lysell break through tonight. They need him to be a player if we want to right this ship quickly.

That said… Sabres, Kraken, Predators all picked up points last night. Flyers, penguins, and Sabres all play each other down the stretch. Feels like big implications for the tank tonight.

I'd like to know what effect tanking has on the prospects who are in the system or already getting a chance with team that doesn't want to win?
So they can draft a higher end player that might to take a job away from them.
The results can't be good!.
There is so many things that can go wrong in tanking, it's not like turning a light switch on and off, you're asking players who want to compete to just let it go!.
Maybe things will get better and maybe things won't, is it really worth the effort or lack thereof?.
I hate it! It's not making the Bruins great!

Wait, you think they try to lose?

No no.

The team is just bad. You're overthinking it.

It's not deliberate- the team for the most part has not looked to me like they aren't trying their best. They just aren't good right now. The tank is an outcome, not a strategy.
