GDT: Game #73: Battle of Alberta - Flames @ Oilers - 8 PM

It's possible that neither of them plays this season. Would be hilarious if they gave up those assets for zero games of Frederic.
Was the 2nd round pick we got for Broberg too, meaning we gave him away for free. Wouldn't even be the worst outcome for this team involving a 2nd round pick either. The 2nd round pick we donated to Montreal ended up being Lane Hutson while we acquired then re-signed a useless bum that solo lost us Game 7 and also costed us Broberg in the first place.

Meaning we lose Broberg for literally nothing.

Even though what we paid for Frederic could've landed us Dumoulin, Brandon Carlo could've been had for that 1st (and he's under contract for two more seasons) and maybe unsigned Emberson too, and we probably could have had Reimer for a late pick and Colin Delia, or Rodrigue (who, let's be honest, won't get a fair look here anyway). I like Walman, but it's looking like he wasn't what we needed...

This past offseason was dubbed the most important in Oilers history, and they screwed up it up by nearly every metric.

We’ve had a few “most important off seasons” from the McD draft season to now.. we blew most of them. Holland had one critical juncture that was almost passable but then he had Jack Campbell… Darcy Kuemper was right there, 2nd best in the NHL right now for HDSV%
