Especially when none of the forwards picked up the late trailer on the rush yet again.

Basic defense is an afterthought.

It's not going to happen this year and we're not going to stay healthy in playoffs, even if we survive a couple of rounds.

This team has no ability to wear their opponents down after a long series and mitigate them getting bullied.

The lack of physicality, which some of us have been calling out since the first week of the season, means this team needs to win short series if they’re going to win at all. They will be worn down by every game they play. As hard as that would be at the best of times their poor goaltending makes it impossible. That goaltending will cost them games they deserve to win and those extra games played will cripple them. It’s not our year, this team doesn’t have it. What we’ve seen the last 6 weeks or so is what this group is, the early season success was smoke and mirrors.

Almost at the point where I’m hoping they lose and end this mess rather than ignore basics of hockey and still win because of the McDrai cheat code.

Is it true that the Ekholm trade was actually pitched to him by Nashville? I can believe that. As far as I know, his first choice was Chychrun, who was definitely not the answer to our woes.

The Campbell and Nurse contracts, and putting far too much faith in Skinner all played a massive role in us missing out on the Cup in 2023 and 2024, despite Drai being on pace to set the all-time single postseason goals record in 2023 (on one f***ing leg no less) and McDrai doing Gretzky shit last postseason.

Yup. We had success beating bottom feeders. We've had our lunch handed to us almost every time we've played division leaders/contenders the entire year outside of a few anomalies

I 100% believe that if we had Mike Smith performing at the same level he did in the 2022 postseason we win the Cup in 2023. Skinner played that poorly behind Ekholm and peak Bouch, while Smith had to settle for Nurse-Ceci as his top pairing. Nurse was playing at the level of a number 5 D-man, and Ceci was (and is) a 6th or 7th.

Hopefully Kane and Frederic can change the identity a little bit.
