Cehlarik should be playing.Vatrano is not better then him..Care less how many goals he scored in AHL. Cehlarik makes others around him more dangerous Vatrano does not .I am OK with Frankie playing but other should to if he is.And next year we better see a few new faces on that defence Growing pains or not.

Pasta was awful tonight. I hope this isn't another slump.

Pasta was having a problem with his ankle. He had his skate off and the trainer was looking at it. (looked a bit swollen to me). He is such a delight with all of his positive energy.

Chiller got a pretty bad slash to his wrist early on the game and was shaking his hand .

You must be taking about a different player.

I think Moore for the $$$ is great. He is an excellent PKer , smart player, wins faceoffs and even scores short handed goals.

I hope the b's can sign him to another year

I agree with u and have zero issue with that Moore penalty He nearly scored and was working hard..The sticks today are toothpicks designed for torque so weak players can have a better shot .Sticks break way to easy .Go back to wood sticks like Koho .

Course not cause It would expose to many of them.

I would love to see the penalty killers use wood sticks..... the worse thing that happens during a kill is a broken stick (and it happens a lot)

Wood sticks is a smart idea during the kill

I would be happy watching them get back to a more solid heavier stick..These things they use now break taking a pass sometimes. I do not know the answer but I do know these torquey things they are using now are just so the weaker players shots are better and the big shooters can pick up some more velicity too.Basically cheating to me .lol Al McInnis would kill a goalie with them.hahaha

Marchand and Pasta were off last night.

Bruins missed too many chances.

Fell behind 3 times against a huge trapping team.

Played well enough to win but didn't.

Move on and stop the free-fall against TB on Thursday.

Agreed. I like Moore.

I liked him less when he missed the open net after Anderson mishandled the puck, when he shot directly at Anderson on a great chance just to take a slashing the stick seconds after.

Overall, he played well last night. Plenty of big shifts. But he could have made a positive impact on the game had he converted these glorious opportunities. Didn't.

is it safe to say the uptick in results under Cassidy was a dead-cat bounce?

Nope. It was legit. No complaints from me. Only issue so far is he needs to drop Beleskey off that top 6. I get giving the player a clean slate, but the guy flat out sucks this season.

The jury is still out on Cassidy as a whole. Let's see if he can get them through this nervous patch where Claude failed 2 years in a row. And then his adjustments in playoffs is a whole other story to judge.

It happens. Bergeron was all alone in front with puck and missed net entirely.Least Moore is playing hard. The sticks today are toothpicks. That was effort with bad luck .I am a bit concerned if Pasta or Marchand do not score they lose.Others need to step up.

It's too bad Carlo cost us the game with that awful giveaway. We should be talking about Krug's great goal instead.

Can you imagine if Bergeron actually didn't shoot like a 15 year old high school player.

Man- I hope not.
I think we'll win these next 2 and it will all but secure us a spot

It scares me we are yet to win against our three most likely playoff matchups (Ottawa, Washington, Pitt) we are 0-8. and in total we are 4-19 against Eastern Conference playoff teams (only beating Cbus 2x and MTL 2x) and 0-2 against the Isles.

Bruins beat Pittsburgh this year I do believe

Bergeron took 52% of the team's faceoffs last night lol. They're going to be riding that Bergeron/Marchand duo like crazy down the stretch.

Just read Friedman's 30 thoughts (posted in the NHL thread) and the comment from Cassidy was he wants his best offensive players on the ice whenever possible when there is a face off in the offensive zone. Given PB starts so many in the defensive zone already would expect to see even more now in the other end. As you point out it showed big time with his numbers in last nights game.

Gotta say that I hate that we are now in a battle to stay out of the wild card race because of the obseen amount of loser points the leafs have. I ****ing pray they get rid of that ****

I'm old school, I wish they would completely scrap regular season OT/Shootout. Can't seal the deal within 3 periods? You don't deserve a 2nd crack at 2 points.

I'm pretty sure there's exactly a zero percent chance of going back to ties. The NHL wants a winner. but I don't think winning in OT or in the gimmick should be rewarded with the same number of points as winning in regulation. I know it's even less old school to have 3 point games, but I'd rather that than the current situation.
