Jones wasnt given as much rope as a lot of guys have been given and id guess it more so is based on his size than anything. Im hopeful he gets a couple more games in this year, depth is key and it would be nice to get him in for a couple

I think it really comes down to the fact that GG doesn't want two kids on one pair. That, combined with Schneids and Nils being higher up on the prospect pecking order doesn't leave a ton of opportunity for Jones right now. Next season, I'd really like to see K'Andre up with Fox and Lindgren paired with Schneider on the 3rd pair. That leaves an open spot for Jones next to Trouba. Gives GG the best talent on the first pair and a solid mix of vet and youth on pairs two and three.
