Has there ever been a more underappreciated player than how Flyers fans feel about Carter? All I see from Flyer fans is how they never cared for Carter, or didn't care when he was traded. The guy averaged damn near 40 goals a year over a three year period before being traded, and none of them care? It's just weird.

Carter was a very polarizing player when he was in Philly. No doubt he is one of the few pure goal scores they have had in the last decade. The hate largely comes from his lack of production in the playoffs, specifically missing a chance in game 6 agains the Hawks with a few minutes to go in regulation. However, his lack of playoff production is attributed to his injuries.

I was never the biggest Carter fan, but id by lying if I didn't say he would look excellent beside Giroux. But to be honest, the biggest reason why Flyers fans don't miss Carter is the return they got for him. You are going to be hard-pressed to find anyone who doesn't have a massive man (or lady) crush on Couturier. Adding in Voracek with that deal, there isn't a Flyers fan who doesn't make that trade again.
