Me too. But I've thought about this more and I think it actually was a pretty shrewd move given that Allen was apparently a very good mentor to Monty and Primeau. There's value there for very little opportunity cost, at least to me, since I wasn't expecting the playoffs this season. All I realistically wanted to see was how the players, the coach and overall team is developing. Yeah you wanna win but you also have to be realistic with such a young team. I'm just excited about what I see the trajectory seems to be, we just need some luck. Anyway, happy the trade seems to have worked for Jake Allen too as he seems a class act. And if he does well, the Habs could improve fhe pick we got for him too
