No true fan wants to see the Habs humiliated. I have no issue with a well played game that results in a loss but hoping for a humiliating loss is something true fans don't want to see.
That's those fans problems. I could easily argue true fans want to see us lose by 10 rather then risk ending up being so close that they win the game.

Yeah I would be just tickled pink to get home, put my feet up, turn the Habs on and see them lose 10-0. That sounds like a stellar time. But hey, at least it fits your twisted batshit insane views on how a rebuild should be conducted, so I've got that going for me!

Leaving aside the "real" fan stuff, why would you want them to lose by 10 goals? I mean you're wishing for something you have no effect on anyways, so why not wish for them to lose a competitive game lol.

I'm going to counter your wish by wishing they win by 10 goals :D

One could make an argument that a loss like that would lower team morale and in turn cause them to lose more games... so if your goal is to tank and tank hard, then it could be a positive.

I can only speak for myself but I want hope, I want change and I want a bright future for the habs.

A true fan wants to win no matter the cost.

Getting rid of a fan fav to improve the team. Pull the trigger!
Losing every game in order to draft generational talent? No pain to gain!
Hiring the best person for the job rather then holding onto asinine language requirements... Poďme to urobiť! (slovak for "lets get it done" )

A post like that won't move the dial for fans at all.

Drafting Bedard or something in the top 3 will certainly move the dial for fans, rather then mediocracy of finishing 16th in no mans land.

It is ok for it to be bad, get worse before it gets better. Lets all hope! Future is looking brighter! GHG!

So, a poster with a different opinion than yours is not a “true fan”? What the hell is a “true fan” anyways?

I don't think we are going to get a W, but then again we won against Tampa so stranger thing have happened I suppose..... Love the AI generated stuff...

Hopefully other games will bring favor should the unexpected happen, may the tank gods smile upon the habs in the other games tonight.

Lets hope for an entertaining game at the very least! GHG!!!

I sacrificed a goat to the Hockey Gods today so that the Habs will beat the Bruins. If that works I may sacrifice something bigger to ensure the Bruins lose in the first round again. On a completely unrelated note is anybody free to meet up in an abandoned church on Monday April 17th? Free burnt offerings!

:( My one dream for this season was to constantly beat in no particular order The Bruins The Leafs and The Sens...

I don't like Tampa or Florida much at all come to think of it.

It's very hard thing to know in your heart that the best outcome for us at this point is the complete opposite.

Go Suzuki Go Dach Go Matheson Go Barron but only so far. :skeptic:
Competitive but a loss please
I know Boston won't f*** it up

That is cutting it too close. Presently I like the games we score a few after falling behind by 3 or more. Not the 10-0 that got mentioned but a game where we can actually win a period or two without coming close to winning. :sarcasm:

Man Ylonen sitting again.

He's not waiver eligible next year. He needs to get as comfortable as possible in the NHL this year so he's ready next year.

I think we can do better than Ylonen as early as next year.
Who do you have ahead of him on the 4th line?

I have it:

Caufield - Suzuki - Slaf
Farrell - Dach - Gurianov
RHP - [Dvo] - Anderson
Ylonen - Evan's - Gallagher/Belzile/Pez/Pitlick/Armia/Hoffman

And Heineman may make his case.

Pretty sure Harris and Barron would switch places no?

Matheson - Savard
Edmundson - Barron
Harris - Kovacevic

If the Bruina win it doesn't help them at all.

If we win it could significantly hurt where we draft.

I definitely want the Bruins to win.
Intellectually, I agree with you. However, as a Habs fan who has rooted for this franchise for over 50 years, I can never pull for a Bruins win.

I'll just watch, and whatever happens... happens.

It's a hole that HuGo will look to fill. Ylonen is a wasted asset on a fourth line.
