Samberg in. So, Heinola practices yesterday, gets sent down, Samberg up and straight into the lineup with no practice. Weird sequence.

"Would I say whatever they are saying is working"?Well aware. However, would you say whatever they say or do is working?
Why is this team so ill-prepared to start games? Why is PLD really the only one who seems to give a shit out there and plays with some semblance of intensity or passion? Or Ehlers one of the only few players who will take public accountability on his game?
Who ever is responsible for that is doing a poor job imo
Yep, but also kind of makes it seem like something went awry. If the plan was to let Samberg play they probably would have called him up prior to practice. Wonder if Heinola voiced some discontent over his usage.Agreed. Both should be playing imo.
Stanley was practicing as the 6th dman yesterday and Heinola was the extra, so they were never intending to play Heinola. The question is was Lowry telling the truth when he said Stanley is a little banged up today and that's why he isn't playing or if he is just giving Stanley some cover while choosing to play Samberg over him. We know that Lowry really liked Samberg when he played earlier this year as he was playing him instead of Stanley.Yep, but also kind of makes it seem like something went awry. Jets got this game. Scheifele with the hat trick, Helly with the shutout. Start of a win streak that takes them to a playoff spot.Probably not gonna bother with this one. 11-2 Avs win
Agreed, but let's give them a proper sendoff. Can’t wait to Lowry and co to be shown the door. Chevy. As well for that matter, for letting this coaching staff walk all over him and se ide the direction of this team.
Or maybe this is what Chevy wants. If you’re Heinola, how are you feeling? Samberg comes up and draws right in. Man the Jets sure know how to alienate their prospects.

Very possible but given his words last season about internal options, one wonders. Either this is true or he’s absolutely spineless. Maybe both in fact.Or maybe this is what Chevy wants.
This is what Maurice did with heinola last year, and doubles it down with Lowry. Common denominator?
Given the things Chevy says in interviews and the callups he makes and the players he drafts I don't think that's the case. I think he's just deferring to the coaches since it's their job to make those decisions.Or maybe this is what Chevy wants.

Maybe I'm missing something. But you mean when he said he expected heinola to play after the tdl? Or young players on the taxi squad?Very possible but given his words last season about internal options, one wonders. Either this is true or he’s absolutely spineless. Maybe both in fact.
Maybe. If he's in charge of call-ups then what's the point of having heinola sit weeks on end rather than play in the A at the very least. Either way, other than a pay increase what's the upside?Given the things Chevy says in interviews and the callups he makes and the players he drafts I don't think that's the case. That if somebody needs to go in in a pinch Heinola's there, or it's a subtle hint to the coach who Chevy wants in the lineup.Maybe. Idk seems that their might be a disconnect between the coach and gm if that's the case. however, the GM is in charge of coach staff, and we've seen how long he kept Maurice until he quit, and followed it up with Lowry. That if somebody needs to go in in a pinch Heinola's there, or it's a subtle hint to the coach who Chevy wants in the lineup.
