We did it the 1st half of the season, that was more fun. Teams fading but they gotta find a way to finish strong

Ullmark won it for Ottawa. Tarasov didn't lose it for us. He could have maybe stopped one of the goals but then he's also why the game didn't get away from us and we weren't down 5-1 in the third.

I checked moneypuck and they put Ottawa's xG at 4.79! Pretty good game from Tarasov by that metric.

As I said, he settled in later, but his play put us behind the 8 ball.

it just puts him on par with the entire group of skaters that have been taking entire periods off lately. There is plenty of blame to go around and I guess the team can fairly say it's not 1 person costing them anything right now

If one bad goal against is some issue that cannot possibly be overcome in a game that the goalie otherwise stops more than he should have been expected to, then the team has much bigger issues. Tarasov has no business taking the blame for this loss.

Ill start by saying I'm not a Tarasov believer but that said, it's hard to be a backup and play every couple weeks. I imagine it's that much harder being young and asked to do that and its why teams loved the McElhinney's of the league because you could ask them to do exactly that and get pretty solid results from it

Well that and he made some major saves as the game went on. Offense/defense still has to do their job

I counted all 3 as goals that he should have had. Can forgive the first one if pressed, but certainly the 2nd and 3rd.

Ottawa is capable of playing multiple style games which has shown to be beneficial lately. Used speed against us and grit against Detroit. This Columbus team is capable of the same when fresh but appears burnt out and is going through the late season growing pains Ottawa has for the past couple years

Kuraly is the real “scrub”, besides his faceoff ability.

Is Chinakhov really being “healthy scratched”? To add, JVR should be playing also, if healthy. I’m guessing both guys aren’t 100%.

If I remember correctly it was Jenner with an interference penalty right in front of Ottawa's goalie. Not only it was unnecessary but Fantilli had a great scoring chance. Whistle blew but he hit the post or missed so his chance didn't matter in the end

Jackets have a real decision to make .. I think Elvis is bought out .. or traded with retention.. Tarasov, since January 1st , when our team actually started to play a little defense has actually been pretty good , yet I wouldn’t feel confident at this point relying on him and greaves next year . How the upgrade in goal will be interesting to watch this summer
