Ullmark won it for Ottawa. Tarasov didn't lose it for us. He could have maybe stopped one of the goals but then he's also why the game didn't get away from us and we weren't down 5-1 in the third.

I checked moneypuck and they put Ottawa's xG at 4.79! Pretty good game from Tarasov by that metric.

The first goal was a deflection on a shot that went in on the same side the original shot was going. He needs that one.

Second one is a rebound goal where he sprawls across and gets beat low five hole. The only way he should get beat on this is up high. He needs this one too.

Third one was a kicked rebound right to slot. Notice a theme?

He didn’t lose them the game by himself and probably played well enough to win, but he also didn’t make a positive impact until the game was pretty much out of reach.

He’s not good man.

That's the way it goes this time of year though, the team will have to learn that. You gotta be ready game to game, emotional thrillers can't be an excuse as that's most playoff games and you deal with it every 2nd night there.
