    What This Means for You:

You want to make it? Play better over 82 games. The regular season is plenty long, probably too long.

Plenty of time to sift out the contenders from the fringe teams and the lesser thans.

They’re likely expanding to 34 and then 36 clubs, at which point I may get off the ride.

This west coast trip has been a good opportunity for me to go cold turkey and not invest time in these meaningless games.

Fully agree. If you look at sporting leagues around the world that have any form of playoffs, having around 50% of the teams qualify is about the average. In Australia we set a tougher standard - in both our major sporting leagues only 8 out of 17 and 18 respectively get in. It's how it should be. Postseason is for the serious teams, not the so-so fringe. Gotta earn a spot to the big dance.

I will try and watch all of this one and hope to see some players shine and please no injuries.

My daughter will be there, and she is convinced the Bs will beat the Sharks...I am not as sure. The poor Sharks have been rough for a few years.

Finally Lauko is off the top two lines. I like him as a fourth man/third liner but he really doesn’t have much offense to his game

Pippin has angora fur. He is a 19-pound fur ball who leaves fur everywhere. He has a huge ruff like a lion. He is a nice kitty but a total scaredy cat. He hides whenever people come to the house (except my neighbor and my daughter because he knows them). Pippin's sister Luna is more likely to say hello. Here she is. It was during COVID and I was doing a picture puzzle...She was helping out by sitting in the box of puzzle pieces.
