GDT: Game #71: Stars @ Oilers - 8 PM - SNW

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

To be fair to Knob if he started Pickard tonight and Skinner tomorrow we probably lose both games.

At least this way we have a chance at winning one.

Back to back I would assume

Including travel

Imagine paying money to watch Stu Skinner soil himself game after game

Other than back to back I don’t know how it can’t be pickards net from now on. Probably can’t get far in the playoffs but hey at least it’s our best goalie at the moment

It’s getting easier and easier to let go as an oilers fan
Probably best to leave Pickard on the bench and save him for tomorrow.

Otter is dialed in tonight and probably the only guy who could have scored on him would be Drai if he was available.

Skinner turning on elite mode now that he let in 3. Unfortunately, it usually turns back off if we score one to get back in the game.

He is clueless in net, how many times do you see him slide to one post and the puck is actually going to the other side. No other coach in the league would still be starting this guy

It's a bad organization that places its window on a mid-level goaltender. They've had time and opportunity to get a 1A/1B and spend their money on other position areas. Unfortunately those choices have also sprung leaks.
They were convinced that last year would repeat itself and then completely bungled the offseason. Then the regular season comes along and all Bowman does is pick up waiver wire fodder and a half decent D-man who will probably whither away into nothing before too long. This mess is entirely on subpar management and if the team doesn't win the Cup this year Bowman should be out on his ass.
