GDT: Game #71: Stars @ Oilers - 8 PM - SNW

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Pretty good period all things considered besides a bad change and a nice chip in from Dadonov
Trouble with Dallas is the way they play they will have one feeling out period, but somewhere in the game they will have a redhot period where they are making transitions and plays for fun. Its what they are, often in same game. When they get rolling its some heat.

No it isn't. We gave up one scoring chance in the period. Dallas gave up 6 or 7. Which is inexcusable?

its hockey, plays happen, reverses happen, sometimes you're caught. Bang bang play to Johnson who is quick with hands and punishes. You cant play any tighter than the Oilers did in that period.
It’s insane to see some expect complete perfection in front of Skinner. Breakdowns and bad bounces happen, that’s why you have a goalie. Even the best defensive teams give up multiple grade a looks every game.

How so. Do you realize how much posters are thinking he should earn on his next contract? It's time to move him during the offseason. The Oil have to make the right call for once.
The right call on someone is to move on from a good player who is not even a full year removed from one of the best offensive playoffs from a defender ever? Not even taking into consideration how good he was defensively last playoffs too? Yeah?

that was clearly the anomaly... watch the player without McDrai, he's brutal outside of a couple nice passes up the middle... without McDrai he won't rack up the freebies

He's certainly not worth 10M

Oilers played great until then. Thought it could have been defended better. I’m not defending Skinner anymore though lol.
