I think the observation is that a) he often lets in a goal in the first 10 shots and b) he rarely comes up with big saves early in the game
He only starts playing well when the other team has 2-3 goals

Everyone gets those chances in a game. They go in probably 50% of the time on any other goalie.
It’s like 75-85% on Skinner. It’s not good enough.

IMO, Game Over.
If the depleted Oilers were going to have any chance of defeating the Stars tonight, we were going to need our goaltender to steal this game.
I'm not suggesting that it was a weak goal, but it's clear that Skinner's not stealing anything tonight. It's too bad too, since the Oilers are playing with a lot of pride and passion.
