Terrible. We created more opportunities for the Isles than for ourselves. Turnovers and crappy shots all period

Someone needs to drop the gloves when the 2nd period starts......

If I have to watch another 20 minutes like that I am taking the dog for a walk and will watch the highlights of the 3rd. Nauseating.

When was the last time a forward was positioned to take a pass and one time a shot? Or found himself open for a shot. We suck froma n offensive point of view. I don't care how many goals for or goals a game we have, most are garbage, accidental, fluky goals. God do we need some forwards who can make their own chance. Even occasionally. Johansen is about the only guy we have who is a good offensive player

We absolutely have no idea what to do with the puck on the cycle to generate anything.

No confidence, no nothing.

Highlights? I hope there are some by that time! :)

What has happened to this team? It cannot be narrowed down to one or two players, there is a serious problem throughout the entire lineup. The trust in their play, shots, team mates, decisions has all but disappeared. The swagger of a month ago is now just a timid exercise in one step forward, two back. I just don't get it.

Our defense needs to quit dicking around with the puck and get it on net! One timers! Horton needs to pick it up! He needs to drop the gloves and start hitting people if he's not going to get any shots to the net. Gonna say it again, this is another game we could use boll's energy

It's called fatigue. It happens when you play 4 games in 6 days

They're pressing. Like any team, when it's going good, it's great, but when things start to go the other way, it can be hard to get back to going good. It's especially hard for young teams. These are human beings, not machines that can just be reprogrammed or adjusted with the press of a button. It's a process, and it can be as simple as having one good period, one good goal.

Gonna go out on a limb and say a guy with a bum shoulder shouldn't drop the gloves

Yes. I believe these are the thirds but from what I read on the Isles' boards they may be replaced.

We are giving them much more room to work than I would like... Not staying close to puck carrier and pressuring

I don't accept that it is as simple as fatigue. There is no trust between the players and it is obvious. To a man, they are playing hesitantly. If you want to accept that it is all contributable to fatigue then you should also accept that this season is shot. There is no period of restorative rest upcoming.

Additionally, I didn't suggest that they are programmable robots. I merely said they are playing as if there is a team wide issue of trust.
