That was the first game I haven't watched in years.....at least it looks like I didn't miss much. Despite subscribing to Center Ice it was blacked out in the Fresno area............apparently this is considered 'local' to Las Vegas despite being 400 plus miles away and in another State. LOL. If you're paying for a subscription service you should get EVERY SINGLE GAME, no matter which channel it's on and weather you live in Timbuktu or the parking lot of the arena.
If you exclude the week or so before the playoffs start in seasons when the Bruins had already safely booked a spot, it's been a long time since they were playing games that were this meaningless. Refusal to play kids only makes it that much worse and pointless. Get Lysell out there already, plus whoever else they can once they get home.
Otherwise not much to say, just have to grind through this and look forward to the offseason activities. I'm liking the look of pick 6.

I'm in a similar situation not being able to watch any Dallas Stars games, living in Houston, even with an NHL Center Ice subscription.
For years we got their games, mainly due to an oversight. The Astros and Rockets left Fox Sports SW and went to their own channel. We got every Stars game, as well as the Texas Rangers.
This continued when Fox Sports SW became Bally.
But Bally went under, Fanduel now carries the Stars, but all their games are blacked out, even on the opposing team's RSN.
Crazy how it all works!

When you play bad team D, doesn't matter who is in net (look at Ullmark's quick hook last night). It's pre-season out there, everyone scrambling, not knowing where they're supposed to be. I'm sorry but this is a poorly coached team. Can't teach talent, but structure/layers is another matter-the same mistakes in Game 1 happen in game 71.
Just shut Lindholm down. Whatever it is, he's cooked. Done. Let him rest, train, get settled in and hope he's not an anchor for the next handful of years.
Beecher too. The wheels have just fell off for whatever reason.
Mason L is regressing too. He needs a steady, structured, stay at home D-pair that he can grow into the pro game.
I fell fast asleep after the 3rd so only deprived of 38 minutes of sleep.

My father in law is a huge Leafs fan. He subscribes to center ice. More than half the games are blacked out and we live over 1000 miles away from Toronto. Their idea of local is crazy.

This is exactly why I don't want Sacco and Co. back. Ultimately they had one job, get this group back on track defensively, and they failed. I don't want to hear about how Sacco was dealt a shit hand or whatever. Truth is, if they had hired a better coach back in November, they are likely still legitimately competing for a playoff spot and the trade deadline never happens. Granted, they still wouldn't be a strong team or a cup contender. So the end result might be the best thing, but that doesn't mean promoting Sacco last November was the right move.

You basically judge a coach based on his special teams and structure. Maybe you throw in the tempo of play and line changes. All these things have been ghastly under Succo and company.

Watched the first two periods and then went to bed.
In the first the Bruins team looked like it was trying, but as the game went on Vegas slowly wore the Bruins down and took over the game with more talent and a deeper roster.
Enough said, it is what it is.

I honestly believe ownership is clueless about how the fanbase feels. No team in the NHL does less for season ticket holders than Boston with the possible exception of Toronto.

Last year they should have given the well-done centennial book free to all account holders.

Just watched the highlight ( 1 ). Zadorov hit
Actually it was one of the more entertaining games I've seen the B's play this season. The Geek should have had a hat trick and the puck was bouncing all over the place. If the B's are going to lose, I'd rather watch these young guys fly around making T to T passes than what we watched from the start of the season.
Time to just play the kids. The pipe dream of playoffs is over. I know we are not eliminated mathematically but its over. Move on to evaluating players. See what you do in fa and draft.
Beecher is one of the guys who falls down or drops his stick for no reason. To my eye after faceoffs , he's only good at taking penalties and falling down for no reason. Hopefully, next season he'll be playing in Providence.

RFA this summer I'm hoping they don't qualify him.
These guys, especially the new guys are really trying! They are making terrific passes and back checking, they just have no finishers! Zacha had at least 3 good chances in the slot and missed the net or fanned on the shot and Geek should have had a hat trick! Once the score got to 3 to 0 the team just shrunk on the bench. You could tell they knew they weren't scoring 3 goals against one of the best defensive teams in the league.

LAS VEGAS — Adin Hill had The Fortress on lockdown.
Hill made 18 saves to lead the Golden Knights to a 5-1 win over the Bruins Thursday night at T-Mobile Arena, known more affectionately as The Fortress by the locals.
As most of New England slept, the Bruins offense remained in its season-long slumber, unable to consistently generate Grade A chances on Hill.
Pavel Dorofeyev scored a hat trick to pace the Las Vegas offense.
It was the fourth straight loss for the Bruins, who fell below .500 (30-31-9) and deeper out of the crowded Eastern Conference playoff picture.
The Pacific-leading Knights improved to 40-20-8, including 25-7-3 at T-Mobile.
After a solid and scoreless first period, the Bruins fell flat in the second and fell behind, 2-0, in the opener of a five-game road trip
Jeremy Swayman made 27 saves, including several spectacular stops, but could only hold off the Knights for so long.
“I think they just capitalized on their chances and it’s unfortunate. I thought we competed well,” said Swayman, who lost his third straight. “I think they came in waves. I think they played well and again that’s a testament to their team and it’s our job to combat whatever they bring to us and I thought we did a good job of that, and we just didn’t get the results.”
Swayman (11 saves) and Hill (7) traded highlight saves over a scoreless first 20 minutes.
Both clubs had their chances with Swayman coming up with dandy blocker saves on Kaedan Korczak and Dorofeyev.
The Bruin netminder also stoned Mark Stone by flashing the right pad just after the Vegas winger had been sprung from the box after serving a tripping penalty.
Swayman’s best save came when he stunned Reilly Smith (and the crowd) as the former Bruin tried to finish off a 2-on-1 feed from William Karlsson. Swayman trapped the bid with his blocker but neither Swayman nor Smith were quite sure how as both looked to see if the puck had trickled to the back of the net.
The Bruins took a step back in the second period, generating just four shots on Hill, while giving up 10 and a pair of goals to Dorofeyev.
Boston had the first good chance of the middle 20 but Geekie’s bomb off a slick pass from David Pastrnak clanged off the near post and out.
Geekie acknowledged that not being able to bury chances can “weigh” on a team.
“It’s tough, especially when you get those good looks,” said Geekie, who spoiled Hill’s shutout with his 24th goal after Vegas had built its 5-0 lead. “It’s frustrating when you don’t put ‘em away and maybe it’s a different game if those go in and maybe it changes the outcome, but I wouldn’t say that that’s what did us in tonight by any means. But yeah, it’s frustrating for sure.”
Marat Khusnutdinov (curl in on the left post) and Beecher (snapper to the right post) had solid chances, but Hill was there.
The Golden Knights broke the ice on the power play with Nikita Zadorov in the box.
It was the 28th time this season the Bruins have allowed a goal in the last two minutes of a period.
“That’s something that shouldn’t happen. We lose a face off, they make a play, we lose our assignment and it’s in the back of our net,” said Sacco. “But that’s hockey, you’re not going to be up every game. You’re going to be down at certain points during the course of the game and we just weren’t able to sustain any momentum in the third.”
Brett Howden, Dorofeyev, and Barbashev scored in the third to put Bruce Cassidy’s club comfortably ahead, 5-0.
