GDT: Game 70: St. Louis vs St. Louis - Tue, Mar 25, 8pm Edt. | TSN2, RDS, Victory+, Matrix-MW

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Looks like Ghule in a full contact jersey today may be ready to go soon.
For the love of God if they take out Arber and keep Savard in St-Louis is nuts.

No one else can step in and protect or intimidate the other team ala Arber.

Savard is easily replaceable and has been a nightmare as of late and I'm not a big fan of Matheson's defensive play, yes he can skate but he's been replaced by Hutson and with Ghule soon to return Matheson in a defensive role scares the crap out of me.

Agreed and I'm expecting him to play this week, either tomorrow or against the Flyers on Thursday.

Carolina is the earliest he should play. Once a player joins practice it's usually 3-5 practices before they get into a game. 3 is Carolina (today, morning skate Blues, morning skate Flyers). I'm hoping they go 5.

All hopes fly out the window once MSL decides to reunite Guhle and Carrier, while foisting Matheson back with Hutson.

At least, i imagine this time around, Hutson will be the one playing on his offside.
I think Guhle and Arbs pairing would be ok too... unless they are both playing the same side. Then no.

Monty what a trooper

Ok, so yes, St. Louis is on a 6 game winning streak, but they're on a ridiculously easy stretch of the season. During that streak they played Nashville twice, Chicago & Anaheim once, a really injured Minnesota team & Vancouver, who has no offense.

Tough to know how good they are when you're playing those teams.

In the 8-1-1, they beat LAK in a shootout then lost to them in OT. Their single loss came against Pittsburgh (3-5).

However, they did beat Washington & Colorado in February and lost in a shootout to Winnipeg.

They turned it around post 4 Nations like Montreal.

In any case, they're playing with confidence and have talent upfront & on D.

Hofer has better numbers than Binnington. They've been rotating them game in/game out, which means we get Hofer as Binnington played last game.

Hofer: 28 gp - 2.64 g/a | .905 (14 W)
Montembeault: 52 gp - 2.88 g/a | .900 (25 W)
Habs ended a 6 games winning streak just last week. They can do it again 💪

I don't see savard being taken out outside of b2b games, maybe.

Guhle in a full contact uniform is fantastic news. With the rise of struble, and the potential return of guhle, the Habs have some semblance of depth at this position at the nhl level.
