"For tonight's contest we can note that the Red Wings do indeed have a red-colored wing on their jerseys, but the Utah Hockey Club does not have a club on theirs. The Wings have been under that name and in Detroit for nigh-on a century; the Utah franchise has traced a path through 2 countries and 3 states and provinces, and its had less than a full year to send down roots here in the Beehive State. There are some similarities - both teams are a handful of points out of their respective second wild card spots and neither team is officially out of the race yet - but another big difference between the two is that Utah has won their last 2 and Detroit has lost theirs. And fans know that while it's relatively hard to sink to the bottom of the Great Salt Lake, it's relatively easy to sink to the bottom of the standings."
