Sorry but Igor tore the guts out of the team tonihjt with that start. They played panic hockey the rest of the period trying to make up for the islanders game. This is bad. I don’t know what’s going on with shesty. I don’t know if he’s tired, if he’s not playing enough lately, not facing enough shots, or if the hart/vezina talk got to him,(he’s going to lose both of this keeps up)
But he’s gotta figure it out because he’s killing them right now and they’re a mess in front of him because of it.

The Stars were in the SCF the year before after finishing 30th in goals.
The Capitals won the Cup in 2018 after finishing 26th in xGF%.
In 2012, the Kings finished the regular season 40-42 and then went 16-4 in the playoffs.
Across 2008 and 2009, the Penguins were 26th in shot differential and went to two SCF's, winning one.
Hockey is half luck.

Would you rather have Zegras or be in a playoff spot? We are too harsh on the kids. Kreider who was drafted by this organization has a shot at 50 Goals this year. Sure took some time but he still was drafted by the Rangers.

We wanted to be more gritty this year, added Reaves, Goodrow, Hunt, Copp, Motte, Vatrano, Nemeth......anyone really think we're gritty? We were at our best this year when we were physical and hard on the forecheck. Remember for a while Trouba was railroading players and Goodrow, Reaves and Rooney(i know he's out) were bullying teams in their own end? Where is all of that? This team has gone soft again and are hoping to globetrott their way to wins

I think its a lot to do with ppl thinking they know what a player needs to be ableto handle NY and I think ppl should stop making such a big deal about it, so players who come here aren't paranoid as hell bc whatever comes out of their mouths could end up as the headline in the newspaper. the media certainly doesn't help and probably keeps away a lot of players who would otherwise want to play for the Rangers.

They feel themselves too much. Other than the two Pitt games they have not played a good game in awhile. They thought they were hot shit after beating Pitt. Needed overtime to beat two of the worst teams in the league and have followed that up with two who gives a shit performances. If only they had a motivator behind the bench who could actually get them ready to play these games.
