GDT: Game 70 Bruins @ Sharks 7:30

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
The Bruins really aren't very good anymore! But I'll give this one to them on account of the goaltending.

Bruins 3 (Pastrnak, Middlestadt, Peeke)
Sharks 2 (Kovalenko, Toffoli)

sitting 25 year old "prospect" Kostin in favor of useless Giles, Ostapvchuk, etc. they have this guy signed for 1 more seaon at 2mil/per....you are losing anyway, put him on the top line for 20 games, if he doesnt do it then, fine, you cant expect anything from the 4th line....Worseofsky is terrible.,....

Citing Kostin's age when Giles is the same age and Ostapchuk is 4 years younger is a hell of a take.

Plus Kostin isn't signed for another year. He's RFA at season's end. The other two are signed for another year though.

Not that I think Warsofsky needs to be shielded from criticism since he does things that deserve it, but the narrative that goes into trying to bitch about certain things is at times stunning for its level of mental gymnastics and obviousness.

Well, Kostin had great stats at the end of last year, we all saw his potential, he shows flshaes this year, but ends up with 4th line mates, so, yes, why keep him?
Yeah and he followed up with inconsistencies and injuries. You can't really argue with 1 goal and 6 assists in 37 games. What does he bring that warrants anymore opportunities? He's a nothing player when he's not producing like most players are.

Kostin is signed to a 2 million a year contract through next year, tell me how that gets traded, for someone, they didn't allow to show their capabilities......

No he isn't. He's RFA this summer, is probably a coin flip to be qualified, and greater than 50/50 odds that he finds a competitive KHL contract waiting for him rather than struggling to make another NHL team.e

And again, saying "but he's signed for another year so why not give him a chance?" is a weird stance to take when the guys you are bagging on as examples of who are holding Kostin back actually are signed for another year

Also in what way can you claim that he hasn't had an opportunity to show his capabilities. He's had almost 190 NHL games and barely has 50 points. There's a reason he's been passed around for next to nothing multiple times in the last 4 years. He had top 6 opportunities with the Sharks earlier this season and it was mostly awful.
