So what happened that Backes was injured?

Excellent period from the Bs. Griz and Riley Nash looked tremendous. Not a fan of Marchy getting checked into the goalie leading to the Backes' injury.

Worst part about that is that if Bruins score there I GUARANTEE you it gets waved off for goalie interference.

I think the leg looked "weird" because his shin pad was moved, I don't think anything was wrong with his knee or anything

Skate blade caught him around the leg/knee area.

Didn't even notice any type of bend, was concentrated on the skate going in. Was his knee/leg bent awkwardly?

I think he pushed his shin pad over to have a look and that’s why it looked awkward

So being the bruins number one center is apparetly now the same as being Spinal Taps drummer. That did not look good for Backes

It looked like he got up by putting weight on that leg so that's a relatively positive sign, right?

I will take anything even remotely positive

Didn't even notice any type of bend, was concentrated on the skate going in. Was his knee/leg bent awkwardly?

The way it was dangling and easily moving when he was skating to the bench made it look that way.

Took a skate directly to the side of his upper knee/lower thigh. Looked awful.

Just watched the goals. Wingels (first) and Rick (second) both made GOOD plays that won't show up on the scoresheet that allowed those goals.
Good start...but hoping for that best for Backes.
