Well, we have gone from one career defining game to another.
Lose and it's Mitchy last Leaf uniform game
Lose and AM lives with another failure of the core 4.
Lose bad and AM has his reputation badly damaged and only a 50 goal season next yr helps him recover.
Win, and AM keeps his elite status to all Leaf fans...Mitchy gets a few more games in Blue and White.

That’s success, not crazy.
Agreed. What is crazy is that not one of the 5 is a division winner other than us. We’ve talked about the lower point total for the Leafs compared to other years and what it means for how good we are. I believe it speaks to the parity in the league. If we win tonight, it’ll be the greatest opportunity to win the Cup in the core 4 era.

From game 3 on it’s all bonus, like having an extra scoop of gravy on your biscuits.

I'm actually pretty excited about this game.

It's the biggest game this core has ever played. And I actually think they have a chance to win it. And if they do win I also think Carolina is an even more beatable opponent.

If they win tonight the path to the finals has never been easier.

A loss tonight pretty much guarantees the core is broken up. That might happen regardless. But if these players really want to keep the friendship circle holding hands they need to win.

Nobody better treat it "light and fun" because they think it's "just hockey" and not worth getting frustrated over.

WInning is why you play the game in the first place. Nobody is paying somebody millions of dollars to have fun losing. They keep score for a reason.

Go Leafs Go!!!

stay tf outta the box
That's not easy given that the Refs are always trying to prove that they DO NOT favor our Leafs.

In fact, the Refs go out of their way to penalize our Leafs for infractions that they clearly LET GO against the Panthers.

Bettman wants to 'grow' the NHL game in Florida, and the U.S. in general, and that is always going to be at the expense of our Leafs. There are NO REASONS to grow the game in Toronto, or anywhere else in Canada !!!

nearly 25 yersthat's how long I have been watching this team, that means I saw the 2002 team nthat by the end was being led by Gary Roberts, Alan Mccauley and Jonas Hoglund.

Let me tell you something, even 100% healthy that team wasn't even close to has talented as this one.

There was no 100 points wingers on that team.

there wasn't a 2 time 60 goal center

there wasn't a #2 center that's good enough to be a #1 center

There wasn't a 22 year old power forward winger

and they had ONE goalie not 2.

Basically what I'm saying is top to bottom this is the most talented roster they have had in at least 35 years.

The question is can it match the heart and the guts of that 2002 team?

This is the most talented team I have ever seen and it's not close.

If they can match their effort to their taleent level they can do this.

Joseph Woll needs to bring his A+ game tonight.

If he does and he wins he proves himself as a big game goalie.

People want to talk about legacy games I'be heard that a lot.

THIS is the biggiest game in 23 years.

THIS is the legacy game

I feel something special coming game 7, going to be hopeful and give them a chance to break my heart one last time.
I am going into tonight expecting a tough loss, similar to game 7 at home against Tampa Bay 3 years ago.

I hope I am wrong.

When our season is over (hopefully not tonight), I won't need a break from the Leafs, I won't need a break from hockey, but I'll definitely need a looooong break from NHL refereeing.
