Good luck to all and enjoy the Leafs in the Cup final. I'm going to make good on my bet a bit early and sign off from this site (even though I'm going to win the bet). Have to give a bit more time these days to real life.

Can a moderator here delete my account? The "account" page doesn't seem to allow you to do it yourself.
Good riddance. The last thing we need around here is more optimism lol

Your posts will be missed man. Hopefully the bet has a clause that allows you to come back at some point.

I think Florida will win. I hope I am wrong and unlike some others here (looking at evil homer predicting leafs in 5 ;) ) I'll happily admit I was wrong in my prediction.

Btw I also predicted Leafs in 5 so I was wrong there. Hopefully can be wrong tomorrow about this too

I predicted Panthers in 6, but now it’s a coin toss who will win. I just hope the better team wins and it’s not decided by strange bounces or refs

It's 9pm and I'm sleepy. Probably won't watch the whole game tomorrow, not that I mind this recent sleep schedule. Thank goodness for free full game replays without spoilers

Beating Marchand in the playoffs

Beating Florida in the playoffs

Winning a game 7

Winning a playoff game with McCauley as the ref

Getting past the second round

How many more demons can the leafs exorcise tomorrow night?
I think the “hockey gods” in particular. The curse as it were.

And I have a particular clip I think we need to adopt:

I did it again. Took money away from my kids future inheritance to go see this game. I need to be there in person to witness them clinch their first series in Toronto in almost 25 years.

I just need to be on the right side of the handshake line once in my lifetime

I would probably do the same thing but I would have to add the cost of a flight from Comox BC (~$1600 for me and misses Fun). My daughter lives in downtown Toronto for a place to stay, but then I'd have to spring for tickets for her and her live in boyfriend.

If they ever win a cup in my lifetime, I will fly out for the parade, though.

I’ll show up for parade and party too. Can’t afford to see the games unfortunately.

I actually remember going to games when I lived in Toronto in 1974-75 for $4.00 ($4.50 to watch them play the Kings in the playoffs). It's so sad to see that the average fan is priced right out of bringing a family of 4 to a game.
That’s wild. Last game I went to was a few years ago and that’s because I won the tickets from Boston pizza. lol.

Two days ago, many were calling to blow everything up… now we’re one win away from being favourites in the ECF.
