I did it again. Took money away from my kids future inheritance to go see this game. I need to be there in person to witness them clinch their first series in Toronto in almost 25 years.

I just need to be on the right side of the handshake line once in my lifetime

I would probably do the same thing but I would have to add the cost of a flight from Comox BC (~$1600 for me and misses Fun). My daughter lives in downtown Toronto for a place to stay, but then I'd have to spring for tickets for her and her live in boyfriend.

If they ever win a cup in my lifetime, I will fly out for the parade, though.

I actually remember going to games when I lived in Toronto in 1974-75 for $4.00 ($4.50 to watch them play the Kings in the playoffs). It's so sad to see that the average fan is priced right out of bringing a family of 4 to a game.
