Pre-Game Talk: Game 7 -- Sunday, 7:30pm EST

Good luck to all and enjoy the Leafs in the Cup final. I'm going to make good on my bet a bit early and sign off from this site (even though I'm going to win the bet). Have to give a bit more time these days to real life.

Can a moderator here delete my account? The "account" page doesn't seem to allow you to do it yourself.

You are worried they will lose game 7 and you will have to answer your predictions aren't you lol

Come on mods do it before this clown changes his mind.

Here's one thing, and it's sad: we've never been here with these guys in the playoffs, a game 7 second round. Literally the best playoff performance in 9 years. It's just strange given the feelings, I guess it not the destination, it's the journey lol.

One game to vindicate themselves finally, anything can happen.

I suppose some will never change their minds on who they believe this group is, and probably with good reason, but if they pull this off, it really becomes the same run as the folklore hereos of the 90's and early 2000's.

If they somehow win that, I don't know what people will say

I went full toxic after last game, that was beyond painful to watch. That said, they played such a good game last night, have to tip back to some hope we have a special result Sunday. Nobody has any credibility left lol.

Sunday is going to be electric that's for sure.

If it wasn't for all the 8 years previous you could look around the league and see all the division winners get bounced. It happens.

But with this group, blowing the 2-0 series lead, blowing the 3-1 lead in game 3, it is perfectly acceptable to freak out after that horrid performance.

I hope the Leafs reserved hotels for the team. The way they played last night on the road defensively it would be wise to NOT go back home to comfort and to replicate the conditions at home to ensure they play the same way.
Some self-control and abstinence would be appropriate until Sunday at about midnight.

Great game 6, but that was expected wasn't it? Very good "game 6" team when they're facing elimination, but game 7s not so much. In fact, not at all.

So no, I still don't believe in them, not for a second. We've seen this show before and it always ends the same.

Hope they win of course, and hey, it's hockey so anything can happen. But until they actually do, not buying it for a second.

The things to be positive about going in: Woll was stellar last night and is quickly gaining a reputation as a big game goalie. AM finally scored against Florida. The Leafs defense was absolutely incredible, the PK not far behind.

And I love how Berube spreads out ice time, showing faith in everyone. That's how you get a team to buy in, by making everyone feel that they're each vital to success.

So GLG, it's literally their last chance to re-write their legacy (at least until round 3) and I truly hope they do.

Is this what the kids call "gaslighting"?

We fans never have to apologize for our authentic post-game response to whatever dose of crazy we just lived through. Cheers!

What was this bet he made? That he'd leave the site if the Leafs lost Game Seven?

If so, this post reeks of fear and insecurity. Why wouldn't you at least want to stick around to gloat if you're confident they'll win?

A doubtful EvilHomer is definitely something new and unusual.

The deserved it after 5, but I'm really impressed with the bounce back. Mentally that showed us something.

I know he got an assist last game and it was a HUGE assist.

But if there was EVER a time for Bobby McMann to get his 1st career playoff goal.

No better time then game 7

There is no "going toxic" after reacting to a terrible performance. You have genuine fan reaction and you have patronizing dipshits who get off on feeling like the "superior fan", and they're certainly not owed any explanations.

It's beyond disturbing. What does he know that we don't?

I'm honestly glad the Leafs don't have to play a game in Florida again no matter what happens now. I'm not sure if it's omen or something but that's honestly such a hard building to win in which makes last night's win even more impressive.
