If it gets worse can they bury him in the minors and sign someone else?

Weird that I'm talking about burying a vezina candidate in the minors but here we are.

Its not about whether his play gets worse. I imagine he'll be a top 5 goalie again next season. Also this team is sunk with even average goaltending.
