I was referring to the last 3 years and Malkin hasn’t even been in the playoffs since 2.5 years ago. For the record Matthews has 15 points in his last 16 playoff games (his last 2 playoffs) so your argument still makes no sense. Don’t worry it’s ok to admit that a 27 year old Matthews is a far better player than a 38 year old Malkin. I’m even very confident based on stats that Matthews is also far better than Gretzky at 38 was so it’s really not a slight on Malkin at all.

I voted for Matthews, and ultimately it’s not about him as much as it’s about realizing just how old 38 is in hockey terms. If this were current day Matthews versus even 35 year old Malkin, I’d have gone with the latter.
