Game 7 DC Whose Going to Game/Bar?

i watched the last 10 mins of the game on the Comcast feed with the sound up.. Best feeling ever listening to Joe B & Craig with their voices lowered and feeling lost.

listening to them was probably the happiest thing ever. glad they weren't wasting their breath complaing about penalty calls in this game.

Yes, when it came the 3rd period, even the 2nd, I was ready to listen.
They couldn't harm me anymore:)

They didn't bother to compliment the Rangers, they complained mildly, mostly, they were depressed, looking for pity, saying it is shame to work this hard, talking about crying and the saddness of it ending.

I have had people say, this is what separates DC from NY and other real sports markets.
DC fans are bandwagon, are the less informed crowd, and will believe their team will win, and when they don't, then it's a cryfest, it's the refs fault, it's they got bad breaks.

They do not hold the team accountable, they don't get critical, and that's why they aren't the fanbase like NY or Chicago they are so jealous of.

On this note :) any Ranger fans in the DC area down to watch some Boston games? I've never been to 51st State, but heard its awesome for NY sports.

Went there for a few games during the Caps/Rangers series. $2 PBRs but I've got to say that it's only okay. There weren't too many other Rangers fans there, but maybe that was because it's the 1st Round.

For a few games, people paid for the juke box and there was no sound on the game until the 2nd period. And even so when the volume is maxed out, it's not super loud.

My new favorite place is First Down in Arlington (Ballston - Orange Line). Will be there next Thursday (I'll be in Boston for graduations this weekend ironically). Also, Mon (Game 6) has $.59 wings and $2 domestic beers before 9 and Wed (Game 7) $14.99 All you can eat wings/tenders.

PM me if any DC Ranger HFers guys wanna meet up there.

First down might be cool, but I'm guessing they won't have the audio on?

Anyone in DC/Arl is welcome to come to my place for the games... Doakes and I have talked about this. I don't have the best setup in the world, 47" TV and full surround sound. I'll have my two-tap kegerator setup by the end of the weekend. I live right off the Clarendon metro. PM if interested.

Edit: Actually, if the theater room isn't booked, which it never is, we can sit in the theater with a very very large projection screen and 12 separate lazy boy seats arranged in stadium seating.

Is there any interest in a DC/Arlington watch party for game 2?

I'm out. Actually bartending at world of beer at 4pm and the Nats play at 4 so not sure if I can put the audio on. Sure gonna try to put it on as soon as I get there though. I'm down for GM3. 3 of the users in this thread talked about coming over to my theater room for it. PM your e-mail so we can talk about it.
