Game 7 DC Whose Going to Game/Bar?

at the very minimum, I'll be with my old man at my apt in Arlington watching the comcast TV feed and syching the Rangers radio call on my stereo like I've done the last few games. I think at least one other buddy, non-rangers fan, is going to come over and indulge in some beverages. at the most we'll end up going to the game. gotta see how craigslist is looking tomorrow.

LOL, so at what time did you start putting on the Rangers feed?
Finally in the 3rd period yesterday I had enough and did so, I am sorry it took so long.
The Caps people just go on and on about penalties, even when there wasn't a call for 10 minutes they would bring it up just to stir the pot.

The first couple games I used video/audio feed from TSN through gamecenter, then game 3 on I used the NY radio call w/ the comcast video feed.
 
I'll be at First Down in Arlington (Ballston Metro) since theye offering .49 cent wings and $2 drafts on Mondays. Despite it being a Caps bar, they have the Audio On and plenty of seating.

Let's go Rangers!

Do they have good drafts? I know friends that go there for football but I've never been. I wouldn't be able to handle the caps announcers... the post game I could only listen to for a minute last night because all they did was complain about the penalties. they were in "disbelief"

Yeah during happy hour which runs until 9pm. $2 domestic drafts (usually just get yingling) and $3 non-domestic drafts.

And 1/2 price burgers too.

Usually I just get 10 wings, 1 yingling and it works out to $9 including tip.

And yes the CAPS announcers are awful and complain about penalties all the time, but it's still a decent atmosphere.
 
I could see how people would not want to see their team lose a do/die game at home, 8pm start, and especially on a weekday in DC.

It's also the opening series which doesn't help either.

Expect the tickets to drop significantly around 3pm and thereafter.
 
sounds like doakes, myself, and a friend of mine are going to try to get tix to the game. anyone want to be a 4th? probably will be easier to get 4 and not 3 tickets.

we're looking at 90/ticket right now for nosebleed for 3. hoping to do better with some time. getting 4 would be cheaper probably too
 
tickets on craigslist dropping fast. Caps fans are getting squeamish :)

Im with you locals as far as Comcast feed= awful homers. I play the NY radio feed & watch the DC picture. Maloney is great, he really call it like it is on the radio.
 
How are you guys getting the NY radio feed down south? I can't listen to these Washington ****s anymore.
 
i use the Tunein Radio app on my phone or use my ps3 browser (link to radio feed is on NYrangers.com). The Locher & Joe B are awful. The Caps are my 2nd favorite team (been in DC almost 15yrs) and I have grown to hate those 2 homers over the years. At first it was funny, too many playoff series have killed all the humor.
 
tix on CL aren't that cheap right now.. bummer. i use the nhl gamecenter app to listen to the radio call, but i'm guessing any phone could probably stream nyrangers.com or that app he mentioned

edit:

just tried the tunein app to espn new york and the quality is better than the gamecenter feed i think. will give this a go tonight.
