I didn't go back and watch it, but if it was lobbed from the Stars' own zone and no Stars player established possession prior to the offside then they have the discretion to send it all the way back

Kinda BS when it's that close to being onside. I've seen more egregious intentional offsides or staying in the zone on purpose not called back.

Same thing Colorado always does with MacKinnon. Teams never know how to defend it and it gives your best player a ton of room to work with
