Thanks @macmaroon . These late games are tough on working Dude's but i think the Jets will put a dent into the Canucks playoff hopes tonight / tomorrow. Vancouver and Calgary trying to get into the playoffs to win the chance to play the Jets in the 1st round .... :naughty:

My condolences to the working dudes. Recently retired here. Too bad I get tired more easily as well!

Hope the Canucks show up tonite with that sedin energy.

Thanks for the GDT @macmaroon !

Anyone remember the episode with Alex Trebek and Jessie Ventura as the Men in Black.

Looking forward to the Jets being the first team to 100 points!

I don't remember that episode. Was a good show for awhile.

I've found it interesting who is left after the site shut down all accounts under a year old. And who re-emerged. We have Wolf House back, we lost a couple of posters, I got a laugh looking back that our PI Barnaby Jones/Frank Cannon was Dale 50130 originally. I wonder if unused accounts on this site get taken over by hackers/bots. Not sure why, it's not like you have your banking info on here.

Where is taiga?
The taiga** - a broad swath of boreal forest biome extending throughout much of Canada. Cozumel it is not, but sports its own charms. Happily - bodies of water including ponds, creeks and lakes find themselves frozen for much of the year, which is conducive to playing hockey***.

** indicated in the Figure immediately below as labelled in green. Sizeable!!

*** hockey, as depicted below. In this rare image we find one of the most highly skilled "goalies" (i.e., that person charged with protecting the area immediately proximal to the "net") residing in the taiga. The local enthusiasts has bequeathed the names "Helly", "Hell dog", "Buckmeister" upon this individual. This particular goalies' brain forms specialized synapses evolved to accept input from extremely rapid lateral retinal movement, in the absence of subsequent nausea and disorientation. This evolutionary advantage allows him to procure large sums of monetary holdings in return for excellent and consistent play.

It is hoped that this individual may take selective advantage in procuring what is known among the (punctate distribution) taiga populations as the Stanley Cup - essentially a mini semi-militarized battle on ice surfaces artificially maintained until well into the spring months of the northern taiga.

Today I learned!

But now that adds more confusion to you comment - you saying greetings from taiga is like saying hello from Canada. lol.

What? I do all my banking here! :sarcasm:

I guess everyone who changed their name in the last year got reverted back to whatever they were before.

Not sure about this Heritage Classic color scheme that's happening right now...is everyone seeing this?

Edit: It reverted back right as I posted that. Here's what you may have missed:

Oh I know. I've been here since JetsOwner.com was about to go down. Since the Jets return.

I've followed these boards through the barren days, through the Garret led analytics, the Jet/Romang tryst, and seen a lot of posters come and go. Probably none as dramatically as Innana/Stumbledore though.

I consider myself a well-acquainted denizen of this segment of Canada (and thus lay claim to its entirety - perhaps allowing myself this romantic foible). For some reason walking, swimming, or fishing for piscine species variants within selected sub-samples of taiga brings a prodigious release of endorphins and enkephalins to my own ageing neural circuitry and thus my facial muscles contract into what my friends might discern to be a smile.

Ergo the whole enchilada is (at least to me) identified as my home.

Speaking of coming and going it’s been a long while since our Canucks friend Ginger Papa was seen around these parts
