  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Maybe but I could see him being a solid grinder type player in a line that compliments him. Might not score much but they'll wear down the opposition with high energy gameplay.

How unrealistic would it be to go with that defense next season? Maybe add a top 4 vet, but get rid of Matheson and Savard.

I don’t trust this management. They believe in Marty so much and somehow Marty thinks Savard is the greatest veteran to ever grace the earth.

I doubt they get to without a veteran with the departure of Matheson and Savard as they got to be “In da mix”.
 
So, the Habs screen the goalie and it's rare, but it usually leads to a goal, via the screen, or tip, or at least some chaos.

So, why does this team seem like going to the net and being a presence isn't part of their game ?

Make that 3rd interesting by scoring early.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Avs score early though.
