Provorov being drafted 7OA makes me sad. He was drafted in 2015 and he's on their roster averaging over 20 minutes a game. Werenski was 8OA in 2015, Hamilton was 9OA in 2011, trouba was 9OA in 2012, Ristolainen was 8OA in 2013.

And here we have Derrick Pouliot, a guy most are still convincing themselves of having a bright future and Olli Maatta is doing his best to imitate Hal Gill's skating speed.

We didn't qualify him and re-signed him as a UFA. He will be a RFA this summer.

Shero is our only hope when Pouliot is 35. In hindsight, Pouliot in the Kessel deal and keeping kapanen was probably the better option.
