Islanders come to MSG tonight. A few things to note: The Rangers have 93 points. The Islanders have (scrolling down, one moment) 69. That is a 24 point difference. They are also 19 points behind Boston for the last playoff spot with 16 games remaining. The Islanders season is over and they are playing out the string. Tonight's results will not change anything for them either way.

This is a sort of professionalism that only veterans can bring. I'm sure guys like Kreider, Mika, Trouba are/were doing these things, but you've got more of them now. Goodrow and Reaves bring that kind of mentality. They've been successful as well, so it's easier to sell.

I don't think there is ever a letdown against the hated Isles. But you have good reason to be scared. Isles play us tough. This is the first game they will face us with our new troops, that has made us a markedly better team,... so I expect a good game. Copp has a 5 game point streak,... 6 if you count his last with Winnipeg. Frankie V has a 4 game point streak since moving to the top line. If our bottom six play as hard as they did last game, we should come out on top.
I don't think Reavo and McKegg enjoyed sitting. And so they played really well in Detroit. If they want to stay in the lineup, they better bring it tonight as well.

Actually they are 15 points behind Washington who is in the last playoff spot but your point stands as they are done as far as a playoff spot is concerned.

No Sorokin and the Isles on a B2B and we’re rested with Igor. They have been playing well though. Win the game and get some revenge for last week. Also hope Lindgren lines up Wahlstrom for that unpenalized elbow
