Were the Dark Ages even this bad? In my mind, they weren't, but maybe that's just because we were desensitized to it.
They were worse but this years team is doing a very good impression. They’re really good at the trying hard against good teams and not giving a shit against “bad” teams that are really on the same level as them

This is why Gotham is the best of NY sports. They give you the results in advance for convenience

From my memory the thing that's similar is that you just didn't know what kind of effort the team would have game to game. One game would be a surprising win where they looked like they gave it their all and then the next game they wouldn't even show up.

The dark age teams were just old and cooked.

They still gave effort, they were just too slow and out matched.

This team just doesn't give a single f***.

The annoying part about this team is that I'm confident the parts are greater than the sum.

For a long while you could make the justification that the 'kids' didn't get PP time because whatvl we had was working.
At thisvstahe howbdo you justify CK over someone like Cuylle based on play this season and recent PP results?

There’s not a single player out there who belongs on any pp…they can’t make it 3 strides on the puck without it slipping off their stick, they haven’t put a pass on the tape to their own team all night, and the few times they’ve challenged a cal player they’ve handled the puck directly into their stick…they haven’t even had to pokecheck…just handling the puck into a stationary object
