GDT: Game 69: New York Rangers vs Calgary Flames. Rangers play at 8pm. Excuse me that’s 7pm on MSG

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

I know everyone thinks the Rangers suck and sure but no one can tell me that the Rangers were trying nearly as hard this period as they did against the Oilers. The team just maddeningly doesn't show up when they think the team is beneath them. Laviolette is f***ing poison.
Igor tried. He really did

Pretty simply if you can’t find a way to win at home vs a team that is 2-9 in their last 11 and played last night and had to travel and has their backup goalie in net then i don’t even know what to say. I would expect a bad team with no playoff aspirations to win in that scenario.

Getting outplayed that badly and trailing despite scoring first is a joke.

What the f*** do the rangers even practice? How is Panarin behind the net with the puck and there’s no support on the boards? We don’t need two guys standing around the f***ing crease.

It’s pretty obvious…they practice the high flip into the neutral zone, wrapping pucks around the boards, getting their stick to the wall to deflect wraps out of the zone, loafing passes into traffic entering the off zone, and staying out of the middle of the ice

The backhand shovel pass from the boards into the anticipating defender for an odd man rush in the other direction is sheer perfection.

I can call it before it happens and my wife asks if I'm rewatching an old game.

"Yes... Yes I am."

Mika yelling at the ref for missing the call instead of the guy who slashed JT in the nuts perfectly describes this team’s mentality

It’s comical at this point
In fairness it’s not lost on these players that they seem to be getting the short end of the stick with officiating every game. Particularly noticeable lately with the Rempe stuff. That frustration mounts.
