This! I brought this up all the damn time. There were multiple reasons to get another goalie. A huge one is injury insurance. We don't have a real option in the AHL. Not yet.

Plus of course, why not hedge the position in case the other two are slumping?

Oilers had to go into LTIR to complete the moves they made. And I’m still not sure how Frederic comes in during the season and staying under the cap.

No one is personally blaming them for not winning, goal scoring is a team thing.

Also even if they were thats not a personal attack on a poster or an insult.

And also because it needs to said or I’ll be called a bootlicker, saying the oilers needed to score more goals in game 7 isnt defending skinner in anyway, nor is it singling out mcdrai, who were clearly very injured.

That's my call too but I can respect Bowman for making a choice to go with Skinner. He put his stamp on that decision so we'll see how it goes. I don't have the same opinion about injury insurance. It's just irresponsible. It's not like other positions. We are missing two important centers right now but at least we have NHL talent to cover things

Rodrigue has literally never played an NHL game and got swiss-cheesed in the preseason, and Colin Delia is ASS, even by AHL standards.

"No options were available though," guys. Even tough Jamie McClennan, who must be reading our posts, specifically suggested getting Reimer as a third choice...
