I'm not holding Torts responsible for this mess this year. Our season was over 2 weeks after it began. Next year will be different. We have played better for most of the season with the occasional wet fart of a game, but I think the wind is out of the sails for all of these guys and were just playing out the string.

He's adding OTL to the L column

I realized that after I posted, and I was gonna ask why, but then I realized I already knew that answer too.

I'd add that points in 36 of his 62 games, 28 wins after the start of our season, using a third or fourth string goalies for long stretches of the season, and making a huge trade in the middle of the year... That doesn't seem that bad to me.
What do I know though, I don't have an agenda.

Terrible very bad.

The sequence of events in the 3rd is amongst the worst you'll see in the NHL. Prout on a controlled breakout trying to fit a puck across the crease through Johnson. Outrageous.

The brutal passing betwen Murray and Jones, the lack of effort on the backcheck......the noodle stick of Cam Atkinson to lose the puck for the 4th.....a well tanked period of hockey.

This game was the biggest disaster I have seen in any sport in person in a while...

...and I'm a Browns season ticket holder.

Probably didn't help that I traveled two hours each way while recovering from a cold to see it.

Seriously, for a moment after Bishop's "incidental contact", I feared this game going in a Bottlegate-like direction.

Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed.

If they're not playing hard now it doesn't encourage me for next year. I don't believe in "meaningless games" and it's a bad sign when the players play this way.

Look at it his way - you (and the rest of us) were probably encouraged to the max at the end of last season. :sarcasm:

Columbus' Dalton Prout will have a hearing tomorrow afternoon for roughing/sucker punch on Tampa Bay's Nikita Kucherov.

Prout's birthday was yesterday. I think he was just trying to give Kucherov an invitation to his party but his hand slipped. Bygones.

HA! My worst was that game in Tampa right after Christmas. What an embarrassing debacle that turned out to be!

"in person" means games that I have attended.

I was making a point that I attend nearly every Browns game and this was worse than any of them.

This topic could be a thread of it's own, LOL. The worst game I ever attended was in Philadelphia right after Voracek-Carter trade. We were trounced 9-2. IN PHILLY. Fans were true to their reputation in their own arena. It was brutal on ice and in the stands.
