This game being the second night of a back to back with travel while Edmonton just sat with the night off in NYC last night is a little ridiculous.
Need a big effort tonight. Smart and tight like last night, just cut down on mistakes.

Parssinen has been so bad he’s lost his spot to a career AHLer and might not even be qualified in the summer at this rate.

Think it’s too early to judge the trade deadline acquisitions. They’re mostly depth pieces and will take some time to acclimate. Has the team had one practice since they’ve joined with this crazy schedule?
He'll draw back in at some point, as will Soucy and de Haan. With 15 games left, it's pretty much a certainty that Lavi will mix up the lines/pairs even if there aren't injuries.
As far as his future here, it's hard to say. I expect he'll get a QO simply because he's so cheap. We're at 26 of 50 contracts for next season, so I don't see that being an issue. The only reason I can see for him being gone is if they trade him rather than risking losing him to waivers next year. I expect we'll know one way or another by the draft.
It’s hard for me to consider Parsinnen and de Haan “deadline additions” when they were warm bodies in a trade where we sold a rental. And Soucy I think would’ve drawn back in against his nemesis McDavid but all 6 D were really solid yesterday.
It’s too bad Parssinen sucks because the rangers could really use a 3rd line center right now. In any case he’s not one of the 12 best forwards so if he plays it’s a mistake unless there are injuries.
What history unless you're talking about their 80s dynasty. The Oilers haven't been better than us in the last 35 years.

I would play him over Othmann tonight because of his greater speed, and because he can play center. Could use him against McDavid if he double shifts.
Parssinen really does suck donkey balls and I don't like Carrick as 3C either. These are 4th line players. Johnny B had some huge goals for us against the Islanders and Minnesota i don't mind him he's the only one that actually shoots the puck
