Post-Game Talk: Game 68: Marchand wins it on OT - BRUINS 1 Lightning 0 F/OT

Gus was phenomenal tonight

Nice to see Gus having such a good game.

I was starting to worry about Rask having to play too much down the stretch, but after tonight's game I have more confidence in playing Gus, and maybe Clode will too.

...and he's still undefeated against TB.

I am happy for Gus . His prior start wasn't a good one . Nice bounce back game for him . He proved tonight we can use him down the stretch and hopefully have Rask at least somewhat rested for the playoffs .

How many playoff teams have we just randomly beaten out of pure dumb luck now?

Ive lost count. May need a list.

Who cares. We are 13-6-1 against East playoffs + wild card teams. Got 7 out of 8 against Chicago, Washington, Florida and Tampa in the past 4 games. Just enjoy it.

Did you think the Bruins played a complete 60 minutes tonight because I don't. Gus saved that game, plain and simple. Love the win and the position it puts us in , but that was not a 60 minute effort , not by a long stretch.

penguins lost

may miss the playoffs

3 games left with Flyers

ouch, i almost feel bad for them

It was more then just Gus, Bishop stood on his head too. Take away those 4 TB power-plays and we easily had the best chances in this game.

Joe Morrow came in and did exactly what he needed to. Thought he skated good, kept his game simple, good outlets, nice shot from the point on one play.

Overall smart simple game. Only 13 minutes but no terrible plays..so good, didn't hurt us

You give the Bruins 4 PP opportunities to Tampa's 4 and the game is pretty even.

Thought Morrow was very good in limited time. Simple game.

Hayes is more effective when he's playing physical. Must have had 4 or 5 good solid hits tonight after getting roughed up in the 1st. Don't know why he doesn't bring that every night.

Liles is actually a top-4 defenseman. I called him a washed up 35 year old at the trade deadline. Glad to be wrong on that one. Sure as heck beats the price it would have cost to acquire Russell.

Still would like more out of Krejci and Eriksson. Both played well tonight IMO, but.... there's another level we know they have.

Good to see this team hang in there with good/great teams lately.

Detroit loses to Columbus too. I really hope they miss the playoffs.

That was definitely Gus's best game as a Bruin.

Watching the replay, what really caused that goal was the battle on the faceoff. TB looked like they had won it twice but Bergeron/Marchand stuck with it and won it.

Give this man the Jack Adams NOW

This team is going to make a run in the playoffs. I can feel it. :)

When you don't have puck possession its hard to draw PP's , sure Bishop made some big saves but for large stretches of the game he was sitting back in net eating a sandwich and reading the newspaper.

Again ecstatic we won , but this is a dangerous trend this team is flirting with - low puck possession and giving the opponents 40+ SOG.
