BRUINS GDT GAME 68 7:08 PM - Lightning at BRUINS - So close and yet so far........ - NESN, ESPN+, 98.5 WBZ-FM

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

It will be interesting to see if they can come up with a player to wear an "A" besides Pasta.

Two games with Pasta the only one with a letter says a lot of the lack of leadership on this team.

Watching Pasta grow into a leader has been so fun. Let's get him at least one more player to help out.

I agree. If I'm a vet like Zacha or even Lindholm it's time to look in the mirror.

Maybe Pasta keeps the "A" and a couple of other players get a lower-case "a"?:D

Zadorov no question for me.

Start Korpisalo for the rest of the year.

No desire to watch Swayman allow muffins.
Tired of Swayman half assing his way through games, allowing garbage goals early in games and showing absolutely zero care or concern. I want to root for the kid but I just can’t until he shows us that he wants it more than the goalie on the other end of the ice.

I’m going tonight (for free).

Not quite sure what to expect.
Pain

IMO...Pasta will be wearing the "C" next season if Brad doesn't come back.

I will be keeping an eye out for any leadership possibilities.

I don't see him as a leader.
I absolutely do.

Guy is zero bullshit, cuts right to the chase, intense as hell, and not only that, leads by example on the ice.

Is he the best player? Nope, not at all, but that doesn’t matter. If this guy talks, you listen.

After the first two games I said that winning the Ottawa game was a big one to convince me that they are capable of a playoff push. Then they lost. Swayman played like trash and Linus was amazing. Throw in some crazy bounces.
This game is big. In the end it's a win win for the end of the season. High draft pick or a round of playoffs. Taking expectations away moving forward. They are now enjoyable to watch. Only storyline I'm worried about is the head case Swayman turning into a starting goalie.

He doesn't talk much on the bench.

I agree the best player isn't always a leader. Pasta, however, is the best player and a leader.

Maybe they will give Zaddy an "A"....I was thinking Zacha, but I don't know.

When is Charlie Mac coming back?

There we go, I don't know why it wouldn't work in the first post. My playoff wine - with no jinxes because there is a message on the label.

Clawing their way (possibly) to a WC spot, serendipity if they do.
