BRUINS GDT GAME 68 7:08 PM - Lightning at BRUINS - So close and yet so far........ - NESN, ESPN+, 98.5 WBZ-FM

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Hey fellas if your girl is complaining that her 40 year old brother is only into 20 year old girls don’t shrug and say nonchalantly while watching the game “well, 20 year olds are hot”

0/10 don’t recommend

Daniel.

First of all, 20 year old girls may be hot, but they are likely needy as all f***, have zero self esteem, and still give a shit what people think of them.

One day, the looks will fade.

Do we trust them to draft the right player?

Because I don't.

I can't believe how we've fallen this year.

It's literally Dave Lewis era 2.0
I would rather flip a coin on players than allow them to draft

I have zero faith in their drafting

I’m not expecting much to come from this upcoming draft

Plus, even if they get lucky, the player/players will be years away before playing with the big club

I’m a sleeve tattooed tech exec who captained his local junior club as a fighter - trust me when I tell you I understood the real prize way ahead of schedule

Also I’m modest

And high

I just feel bad for all the diehards here and Bruin’s fans who put their heart & soul into this team

The Boston Bruins take frustration to a different level

I don’t get why they aren’t calling up kids and giving them a shot. You already sold at the deadline, find out what you have going forward

Yeah this is my only complaint at present. I don't understand it either. This is the time to give the kids their chance. I appreciate they're probably mindful of Providence being on the cusp of playoffs and how that might play out, but I still think Boston needs to come first and the best thing for guys like Lysell is to give them an opportunity in the NHL with no fear of failure and time to make and learn from mistakes.

Otherwise a game like tonight's really shouldn't be any surprise. They had their little post-deadline bounce, now reality is setting in. Tampa slept on them last week, not this time. This was a true contender putting their foot down and dispatching a far inferior roster. The Bruins are going to have periods like the 2nd we saw here down the stretch. They should also have times when they look much better, but it's going to be up and down, likely with more downs. That's where they're at.

So I disagreed with the booing. Look at who's on the ice and how sparse the roster now is. Sometimes they're simply going to be get lit up. You just hope they take at least some positives from these remaining games and then it's all about continuing the re-tool and resetting for next season.

Providence may go on a playoff run...best to give them that experience than what is occurring with the Bruins no? Plus, I think they are looking to see what they have in the NL roster guys they traded for at the deadline
Providence has been a top regular season team for 2-3 years in a row and has been bounced in the first round every time it seems like. I think NHL shifts are more fruitful, send them back down in time for Providences "run"

Playing comeback hockey, 0 shots in period 2, followed by…4 in the third?

This isn’t even funny at this point. This team isn’t even an empty shell of what it was…not even that of a year ago. It’s tragic how far they’ve fallen
