Namestnikov was drafted as a C, wonder if he could still play it? If not I guess stenny gets the assignment for 3c?

He is playing centre, positionally. Wheeler seems comfortable taking the draws though, so far, so good. I am expecting Stenlund to get the call,since he finished the game in that spot. I wonder if Sam Gagner gets the call for this game, with a PP spot open, or if Bones doubles down on his PK. Samberg should be playing, which is good.

I know Vasilevsky is starting for the Lightning tonight, but he hasn't been great of late. The whole Tampa team is kind of going through the motions with no threat to their playoff position. Might be a good game to catch a team that is sleeping. Biggest thing for me is don't get injured, Tampa has some guys that will goon it up, and the Jets can't afford to get drawn into those kind of games, especially without Lowry to keep people in check.

I didn't have this one as a win on the schedule, and with all the boo-boos to PLD, Lowry and JoMo my expectations have dropped even more.

That said, winning games that we aren't supposed to always feels good.

BSD: Cover the puck. Ergo.. nimbly reach forward and grasp the puck with your glove,

Tampa needed a goal in the last minute to beat Chicago yesterday and they only have 3 wins in their last 10 games ... as long as the Jets play a good team game they have a 50/50 chance.

Tampa has been a tire fire lately. I feel like they've attributed too much of their recent playoff success to their grinders and not enough to their talent and now are leaning way too much into it. Stamkos being injured hurts them a lot and they're on a back to back just like us. Feels winnable.
