GDT: Game 67: Sens vs Habs, Tuesday March 18th - 7 PM EDT | TSN2, RDS

What are everyone's thoughts on bringing up Farrell to replace Roy ? Question posed on TVAsports that they likely picked up here lol.

Id rather let him continue his success with Laval, however usually players are rewarded when they perform to that level.

There used to be time when fights at practice here was due to lockeroom friction or the team going down a losing spiral.

I don't feel this is what's happening. It looks more like a team being very intense about making the playoffs and emotions boiling over. Got nothing against that.

-It's against Ottawa our direct rival and one of the hottest teams in the league.
-We pull them closer to the pack.
-We end their 6 game winning streak.
-We maintain our momentum.
-We continue to justify our Captain's reason for wanting to keep the group intact.
-We show we are clutch in the big moments.

Do I need to go on?
While there may be more important games down the road winning this one only increases those odds. Not being sellers changed the topography this is not only about this season it's about the future. Showing we can win these games is everything.

I don’t think it’s a must-win. It’s a big game for sure, but it’s not the Sens we are trying to catch. 6 points (really 7 because of regulation wins difference), is a pretty big gap with only 16 games to go. In reality we are fighting for that last WC spot with 4 teams.
It’s a must win, just not for catching the Sens. It would be nice to take 3-4 point stranglehold on that final spot and that is hard to do without W’s. Let’s f***ing go.

Well we're 6 points behind the sens with each of us having 16 games remaining. We play them twice. If we win both, that's a 2 point deficit, with 14 games to overcome it. BUT they're getting a healthy and are a good team, playing well, and probably most importantly, have a 2nd line...

X just needs to punch him in the face.

Dave Poulin always said the Habs have one of the scariest fighters in the league and that most only find out when they cross the line & that’s Josh Anderson. I know his production is off from the 25-20 we’d all want but his value shines when we get into physical battles. We’re going to see a lot of these games moving forward. Having Savy, Struble, Andy and of course X. is plenty of deterrent. Heinemann plays with some jam and really the guys that don’t drop the gloves are playing with a pack mentality, we’ll need it! ……. lots of folks get their panties in a knot when this is brought up but if you watched Ott Vs TO Saturday????Lots of nasty, dirty plays by the Sens & the leafs had no answer.

Can’t give them an inch tomorrow night & if it gets nasty….mess around & find out + our PP is cooking.
Cheers.
