Don’t care. We know what the team is capable of. Rangers have more to give. 15 games left and they can change the perception. Not one team in the Metro scares me in the slightest.

I don't think this team can beat the Caps. Even though a lot of their forwards have an inflated shooting % (Ovi,Protas). Strong defence, goaltending, and depth scoring.

We've won 9 games all season vs current playoff teams. We're not all of a sudden going to start racking up wins in the playoffs if we squeak in. This team is fools gold.
Fools gold or not, they really need to get in or fall apart. Being on this bubble with your 1st rounder is not good.

I'd actually prefer they keep this year's pick. Not going to actively root against them though. Picks further out are always less valuable, especially since this isn't a rebuilding team.

It would give Drury more ammo to trade for an impact player up front or address the 1LD. The #12 pick this year or a 2026 1st? Teams will want that #12 pick.

Depends. Lindgren is gone which is huge and now Soucy who is also bad. If they ever go back to Fox Miller they can go on a run here. Metro bracket is frail

We just need JTM and Panarin to carry the offense. PP to catch fire. Remember how to play defense and hustle. Lavi to get his head out of his ass. Shesty play like he’s the highest paid goalie ever. Fox.

Believe.

We don't exactly have a great track record with the first round picks.

Kreider was a hit in every sense back in 2009. But then there was Dylan McIlrath.

JT was a solid pick and I bring him up only because he's back.

Jury is still out on Lafrenière, Othmann, and certainly Perrault.

Schneider and Key were fine picks.

Kravtsov, Andersson were huge, huge busts.

No matter our position we're not getting a generational player. Just hope you get a good one. It's all a crap shoot.

Pump the brakes a bit, we're under dogs vs anyone in the playoffs unless Shesterkin robs a series
We have a killer schedule, tend to die before the 3rd starts against the teams that are above in the table, we had some serious luck in a couple of wins we had, even in this one. The early goals against are a joke.
Still we've racked up more RW than anybody around (shame you don't get much for that), and even those shutouts.
Jekyll and Hyde team, but hard to see how it could fare well in the first round, on paper at least. Trading Chyt and even Kakko away still seems to be detrimental to me.
Anyway me personally would relish the rematch with the Caps, let's see how that goes.

They'd get worked by the Canes.

I know the history and Im sure that they'd rather not see the Rangers but that team is way better than this one.

ill take Igor in a series where the Rangers aren’t giving major minutes to Trouba, Lindgren and Goodrow anymore.

My biggest concern is coaching. On paper we have a better roster than last year. I would chalk some of the uneven play to half the roster being turned over mid season.
