GDT: Game 67: New York Rangers at Columbus Blue Jackets, 7:00 p.m. ET, MSG

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Am I supposed to have a problem with 2 guys we received for rentals being scratched? And isn’t scratching Soucy for Jones what his truthers wanted?

Rangers are playing their best possible offensive lineup. People love to complain. Just win the f***ing game.

Jones hasn't impressed me. Yeah, he moves the puck relatively well with the low bar this team has. He's just a normal average puck-mover by NHL standards. I'm not sure what happened but he's not really fooling people and I sort of remember he was more successful in the past to the point I dubbed him left-handed Fox.

He moves the puck alright on the power play but it hasn't been anything special to the level of creating wide open chances outside of a couple of isolated nifty plays.
Jones on defense is legitimately just real bad. He would also get absolutely eaten alive in the playoffs.

The Soucy deal was unnecessary. Healthy scratching him now is insane. Could’ve used pick 65 to build up the reserves on D or a swing for the fences type forward. Dumb asset management in an org that doesn’t know which way it’s going

If they actually scratch Carson Dookie they can go on a run

Trading for him was dumb, scratching him would
be smart because he is slow and not good

But size doesn’t matter
That can certainly be the case though. But for Jones, he doesn't play well with his stick or positioning away from the puck. He doesn't make up for his lack of size in the defensive zone in any way. It allows for other teams to get set up easier on offense when he is on his back foot on the ice, and then he gets pushed around deep on our zone plenty.

Size doesn't matter with Fox because he is just so damn good. He knows how to position and use his stick. His transition game is very good and is maintained offensive possession is elite. You don't need to be as good as Fox is in order for your lackluster size to be negated, but Jones does not make up for it all so his lack of size is further exposed.

He's.... Fine... When not under pressure.

But he makes outright terrible decisions when under pressure.

It was too good to be true we could somehow get another Borgen with Soucy. He has been straight up bad and slow.
Somenone mentioned he was a cross between Harpur and Nemeth.
Only hope is he can return something if we trade him next year.

I closed them already. I hate working. I retired at age 51.

In my grille? Nice, except I'm only in here like 30 mins a week. FYI... you're one of the ones I count on to make me laugh. Now go be funny

Obviously, you feel that I have "wronged" you.

Drury burns through draft picks the way I burn through condoms.

“It depends”

Regardless of results that should be the post game thread title.

Sums up the season, really.

Almost as stupid as AVs “we had some good looks”

Drury burns through draft picks the way I burn through condoms.
Please don’t share photos of any of your “4th round picks”….lol.
