The Caps have bad first periods, expecting a big push later.

'bad' is being kind, they're ECHL-esque. NO matter how much Trotz speaks to it, (now 13 times in last 14 games they've coughed up the first or more goals) they're horrid in the 1st. Something they have to correct b4 the playoffs.

-2 goal differential in the 1st
+25 in the 2nd
+33 in the 3rd

THey usually wake up about 8 min o so into the 2nd. And they'e 20-10-4 when giving up the first goal.
But a 3 hole is a tough climb...good for the kings to pot 3.
